Elon Musk: Tesla Model 3 production will “quite likely” exceed ‘500 vehicles per day’ this week
In a recent email to Tesla employees, the company CEO Elon Musk has stated that the production of Tesla Model 3 units is “quite likely” to surpass the ‘500 vehicles per day’ mark this week.
Musk’s projections that Tesla will probably cross the ‘500 vehicles per day’ mark for Model 3 production this week are an evident indication of the recent ramp up of the vehicle’s production over the last few weeks. The projections underscore a whopping increase of 75% in Model 3 production as compared to the vehicle’s production numbers in April 2018.
According to the email, which has reportedly been obtained by electric news magazine Electrek, Musk has asserted that Tesla is making “great progress” in terms of Model 3 production which is currently underway at the company’s Fremont factory.
As per the Electrek report, Musk has specifically stated in the email to Tesla employees that “It is looking quite likely that we will exceed 500 vehicles per day across all Model 3 production zones this week.”
Musk has also requested, via the email, that any Tesla employee who is aware of “any specific bottlenecks” which may hinder the expected progress of Model 3 production towards the mentioned milestone of ‘500 vehicles per day’ this week should meet him, so that the issues can be addressed.
